Rocky Mountain High

We were in Denver a couple of days ago. There isn’t much to do in the city itself, but around Denver, there’s plenty! We didn’t have a lot of time, so we chose to do the easiest – a hike in the Rocky National Park. We hiked on a trail that took us through some very beautiful lakes.

Twelve miles west of Denver is a small Western town, Golden, which was established during the Gold Rush period. We were there for a few hours. The highlight is definitely Clear Creek that flows through the town. I found the metal sculptures along the creek to be a nice touch.

Fun fact on Golden: The Coors Brewing Company, which is the third-largest brewery in the United States, is headquartered in Golden. It is the largest single brewing facility in the world!
